what's more valuable, an easy degree at a Russell group uni, or a hard degree outside of Russell Group?

A course you will enjoy doing that ideally offers a placement year that will add to your graduate CV.

Why do you want to do a degree at all.
Start there.
Valuble to who?

This is one of those entirely subjective questions. eg. For some employers in some sectors it might make a difference. For most, it won't.

Hi @ari989 !

I would say that the most valuable in the end is a course that suits your needs and that you enjoy! I would say to compare universities by the subject you wish to do as course content can differ from uni to uni. It can also be useful to look at career opportunities and what current students have to say. That helped massively with my decision to apply for Creative writing at Edge Hill. In the end, the most important thing is that you are happy with the course you choose!

What course or subject department are you considering?

I want to do law, I have an offer from Surrey, however the more research I do the more I notice how a degree from a Russell Group uni holds a lot of value, many sources say different things which gets confusing, so I was considering doing a history course at uni of notts and then a law conversion course.

That’s an expensive route to choose.
Surrey is a very good university. Go there and study the subject that you want to study.
