What calculator is allowed in further maths L2 Gcse equivalent. Some people i know use cheaty ones that have matrices and triple sim equations on the calculator, i dont. its an unfair advantage. I cant find where aqa has info on calculators
Tbh as long as your calculator can do things like sin cos tan and all the four basic operations, it should be enough.
I’d probably just stick with whatever calculator you have used in your other GCSE maths exams as the A level calculators you have mentioned are perhaps too advantageous.

hello. I am pretty sure they're allowed because they're allowed in normal gcse. Unfortunately, a triple simultaneous equation is bound to come up and those with the calculator will be able to use it. Perhaps see if you can buy the calculator before the exam. (for reference this would be the fx-991Ex or fx-991CW). Tbh, using the matrix function on this calculator is not that helpful (and it is hard to use) but id still recommend it .
Whilst I am here, would it be possible to know what other equipment I need for the exam tomorrow (it says all mathematic instruments but I fail to see how I will need a protractor/compass). Many thanks and good luck to those doing the exam!
Hi, I’ve just done my further maths and the paper said you can’t use calculators with algebraic functions or something. I didn’t use that calculator during the exam but it may be worth to note for future students
