Msc Psychology Conversion at Exeter

Hello,

I've received an offer from the University of Exeter for a Msc Psychology (conversion) online.

As I am an international student, I'd like to confirm if this is indeed a good university choice for Psychology.
Is there anyone else that is starting the same course in September?

Hello, I studied at a rival University, for an unbiased review check out their Teaching Excellence Framework score from the Office for Students which should be available online. The key thing with such a course is that it is validated by the British Psychological Society which is a sort of kite mark of quality

Hello Echidna25,

Congratulations on your offer from the University of Exeter! I have absolutely loved my three years at Exeter, studying as an undergraduate. If you'd like to know more about psychology at Exeter, feel free to chat with one of our students here!

I can also give you a flavour of Exeter itself, just so you know what our uni/Exeter has to offer. Exeter is a campus uni which means we have anything and everything you could possibly need on campus, from a pub, coffee shops, food shops and even a doctors. Not only this but although everything you could need is on campus, our town is about a 15 minute walk away and just a train away we have the most amazing beaches which are perfect for final term and cheeky BBQs. The beach was definitely a huge selling point for me whilst I was choosing between my options! We also have a quay which is perfect all year round and about a 30 minute walk away, its a brilliant spot for walks, a quick coffee and there is a few pubs down there! I would definitely recommend a picnic on the green too overlooking the Cathedral- which hosts our magical Christmas markets!

We also have a huge range of societies you can join at Exeter, from the likes of Quidditch soc and Swift Soc, to sports and subject societies, the list is almost endless. Plus you can even make your own society if you find enough people that would want to join- how cool!

Best,
Sophie, University of Exeter Student Ambassador.

Hi! I've got an offer from Exeter too, for the same program starting this September. Have you accepted the offer?

Hi...I'm also due to start in September. I'm a UK student and chose this course based on the department's reputation within the psychology field. I have some prior work experience and some prior knowledge of the department, and the impression I have is very positive.

Same here! Looking for advice on whether the course is good, resources, etc.

I also chose based on reputation! My top choice would have been Cardiff's one-year in-person course as there is a placement module (and I live in Cardiff) but having to work alongside means it wouldn't have been possible. ☹️ Glad to hear your impressions of the department are very positive!

Hi I've also been accepted to the program! Im wondering if you know anyone who has completed it and what there experience has been like/what type of work they've been looking for afterwards.

So lovely to see people doing an MSc Psychology (conversion) like I did, may I recommend a book by Coolican called 'Statistics and Research Methods in Psychology' it will be incredibly useful wherever you study
