Contact Employer????

On indeed I applied for a job on Sat, the employer viewed my application on Mon. It is currently Tues, I'm considering to wait 1 or 2 more days before asking them for an update on my application. There is no deadline so idk if they're waiting for more people to apply...? They're a local company only 8 mins walk from my house so idk if i should go in and ask? Waiting would be a good idea but I REALLY want to know what's happening A bc I need a job but B this would be so beneficial for me. What should I do??
