Epq worth it?

My sixth form have offered for us to do an epq. However, we are now towards the end of yr 12 and so most of the research will have to be done next yr (I think they said the deadline is March next yr sometime) but this will be my final yr of sixth form so I will be taking my a levels. Is doing an epq at this time worth it or will it just be extra stress?

i did mine in year 12 and personally it was so worth it bcs i had sm to talk abt in my personal statement.
also in my opinion, an epq is only worth it if yk you will get an A/A* so if yk that you will work hard and won't procrastinate, go for it.
since you are doing yours in year 13, you NEED to stay on top of it. it's not impossible, u just gotta stay consistent.

It's possible to do it in Year 13, but make sure it's done as soon as possible. It should ideally be finished by Christmas to avoid stressing later on.

I did mine in year 13 and got an A, but it was quite stressful. I recommend starting research over the summer if you can!

It would be worth it to do it if you were in year 12, and made it relevant to the subject that you want to study further, and made sure you get an A/A* as some universities will lower their offers if you have these grades. Although, to go the top marks it can be quite a lot of extra work, so doing it in year 13 be quite difficult to manage depending on how heavy your A-Level subjects are.

Personally, I think it’s worth it! In my sixth form EPQ is mandatory which I think is quite good. You can do it based on the degree u want to take so it gives you something to write in your personal statement and shows you have a strong passion for your degree
