As we’re finishing our A levels (or GCSE’s), I thought it would be nice for us to all look back on the shows that guided us through childhood, but aren’t talked about enough. I’ll start.
1 — INK (Invisible Network of Kids)
It’s about four main kids, who go to a boarding school, named Trixie, Zero, Vin and Newton, who have to save everyone from their child hating teacher Miss Sadie Macbeth. The only part of the show I didn’t like was when they blew gum into their masks. I just hate gum, so it was too gross for me. Trixie must have been my favourite because I vividly remember dreaming about her coming alive, waiting for me on a bench, and being my bff when I was seven. Also I swear all the main cast are either orphans or have messed up home lives, so I kept thinking the school was actually an orphanage. I watched this on POP, and I have so much nostalgia for it.
2 — My Friends Tigger and Pooh
I watched this on Playhouse Disney (RIP you absolute legend) and I remember it being better than it probably was. The main character was a girl, and Christopher Robin was ignored for some reason. I think they were detectives?
3 — Jungle Junction
This was another underrated Playhouse Disney show. I loved playing the online game. There was the elephant, a pig, and a weird yellow one.
4 — Milly and Molly
I think this was on Tiny Pop? It’s about two best friends and it was ALWAYS on, along with that show with the raccoon at playgroup???
5 — Slugterra
I’m assuming this was on Pop again. This was so good! The main group of friends gave me Star Wars Rebels Ghost Crew vibes, they shoot slugs at people (kinda like Pokemon), and I think the main dude’s Dad went missing. My favourite slug was the orange one.
