Considering a 6th form many consider bad, should i risk it?

Hi, I just finished my GCSEs and am attending my open days now, however I am extremely passionate about pursuing geography in the future but unfortunately my school cancelled the course as not enough people applied, so now I have this 6th form I think I'll be going to because they do offer Geography however everybody tells me they're not good, and their A Level results are pretty poor in comparison to other schools. So I'm perplexed as to if I should attend in September. My school does not offer consortium however I'll confirm with the director.

Just had a quick look at Oxford, Cambridge and UCL geography undergrad and none of them require a Geography A-level although it is desirable. So you maybe don't need to take Geography at A-level to do it at undergrad, although you'd have to be doing a lot of reading and independent geography work to make a decent personal statement.

At the end of the day it's up to you, but I would be wary of "bad" sixth forms since you really want somewhere that teaches the course well and supports you through UCAS.
