I need help for my Deputy-Head Girl Application

Hi! I’m applying for Deputy/Head-Girl in my college. I need to prepare a 2-3 minute presentation. Is this okay?
Good morning teachers and fellow students. My name is *****, and today I’m here to humbly ask for your vote. I know that you have heard and will hear some fantastic ideas from other candidates. But, how many of those fantastic ideas will actually come true? Every year, you’re all given the same old promises, which, let’s be honest, never really end up being fulfilled.
Truthfully I can’t promise to make teachers give us less homework, I can’t promise to change the school uniform, and I can’t promise to get the school to let us wear our hair down (sorry). Trust me, I’ve tried.
So, what can I do for you? And what are my ideas?
I have a few ideas, but I believe that yours are just as important if not more so.
I believe my main goal as Deputy Head Girl won’t be to tell you my ideas and what I think, but to act as a representative for us all. If there’s one thing that I wish to achieve in this role, it would be to be able to inspire each and every one of you to share your voice, your ideas, your passions.
I’ve spoken to many of you over the past couple of weeks, and you have so many amazing ideas. One is to make the mental health support system in our school more coordinated. Currently, our school has a ‘Quiet Lounge’, but many of us don’t know where it is, how we can ask to use it or when it’s available. Therefore, I believe that our mental wellbeing would be best supported if we were able to organise this system more, which I will aim to do as DH Girl
Many Year 13’s also feel that the new canteen queue system is inconvenient. Lines are congested, blocking the entire corridor, which makes it difficult to enter and exit the canteen. Surely something can be done about this? I promise that I will try my best to work together with others to find a better solution to this issue, should I be elected.
In addition, after talking to some of the boys, it’s clear that the sports equipment isn’t up to standard. The football goals are cheap, flimsy and pretty unstable. Many of you have requested higher quality football goals and other sports equipment, and I will ensure that this is considered as DH girl.
All of you have so many brilliant ideas for how we can improve as a school, and I am determined to bring these fantastic ideas to fruition as DH Girl. My goal in this position will be to help you all with any issues or suggestions that you may have in order to make every day in ***** more enjoyable for everyone. I can assure you that as DH Girl, every single idea will be 100% seen and heard.
Again, all your ideas are so important to me… After all, would you rather one student come up with one good idea, or should it be the collective ideas of all 60 something of us, all unique from each other, and who know precisely what this school needs.
