No Student Loans for Over 60s

I’m 62 and was offered a place at the Royal College of Art to do a masters… Amazing opportunity but no funding. Are there any sponsorships out there for a white, heterosexual male with no disabilities and in receipt of Universal Credit?

I’m 62 and have got a place at the Royal College of Art to do a Masters starting in September this year. I had hoped to receive a government student loan of around £12k but to my utter dismay find that I’m not eligible. You can get a loan to do a BA. I really don’t understand this ruling… anyone explain? Also, are there any sponsorships/bursaries out there for over 60s in receipt of Universal Credit wanting to improve their situation and most likely, increase their employment prospects?

Sorry I don't know why there is an age limit for masters funding and not undergraduate tution fee loans. :dontknow: The best place to ask about bursaries or scholarships is your uni. Alternatively, maybe crowdfunding is an option?
