General help pls

Basically I’m applying for a Schengen visa. From UK to Spain. But they require a flight ticket, in order to process the application. Now I want the visa first and then go to Spain. But because it’s a requirement for a flight ticket, I can’t find an airline that provides a refund for a basic economy ticket. I plan to get the visa, and then cancel my flight. But I just can’t find any airline or tickets, that give me some refund even partial at least. If someone can help me, or been in similar situation pls help.

Thank you.

look on ryanair for flights to spain, preferably a few months ahead so its cheaper. flights go as low as £10, so i dont think it would be that big of a deal if you didnt get the refund. but why would you want the visa first?

Ye I tried to but I can’t find one less than 100 pounds because it’s for 2 people. Also Ryanair policy says that their tickets are non refundable. Also I want the visa first because that’s common sense, I want to have the visa because I’m thinking of going Spain but don’t have a fixed date yet. Because I need to first make some arrangements but I do have an idea that I’m planning to go in next couple of months. But why book the ticket early and then regret it later :frown:
