Edge hill adult nursing - placements

Hi all,
I’ve been accepted at edge hill for adult nursing this September however I am looking for some advice on placements. I am a mature student (32) with 2 children and trying to find any information or peoples experiences on doing nursing and having children seems few and far between.
My question is do all ward based placements require you to start before 8am? I am fully aware of the length of the shifts I am work 12hr days at the moment it is just childcare times that is my biggest worried at the moment when going on placement.
If anyone is currently studying nursing as a mum or knows any information about how placements work when having children it would be a massive help!

Congratulations on your offer to study nursing with us!

We advise students that their placement shift hours will be determined by the placement provider. Your provider will be confirmed with you prior to your placements, and you are welcome to discuss childcare and shift patterns with your provider. It is at their discretion to offer a different shift pattern.
