Inconsistent questions on SLC form pls clarify urgently as call wait times are 1hr

Hi When applying for student fiance the below questions come up and the 3rd question makes no sense and seems contradictory given the first two. Kindly request you confirm for the given scenario your parents separated before 1 September 2023 what your answer should be? Where I have answered the prior questions I gave put my answer in bold.

Hi aranjha,

It is just asking you to confirm if they were separated prior to the 1st of September 2023, you already indicated that they are separated in your 2nd answer, so we are just wanting to confirm if it was prior to that date. If they were separated before that date, then you select the first option, if they weren't and it was more recent, then you select the 2nd option.
