Choose a topic that you're truly interested in

Check whether there are enough sources for your investigation. My teacher said there should be about 25 sources in your work for a good mark, but there is no such requirement

Make yourself familiar with the structure and requirements of the IA (it's very different from other subjects)

Don't mix up history and anthropology, make sure your investigation stays "historically focused", for example, when examining effects or causes divide them into social, political, economic etc.
5.
all your claims should be supported by sources, don't invent stuff
