DSA needs assessment report hasn't been processed by SFE?

I'm not entirely sure how to explain this. But, I had my needs assessment back in April and my report was sent off at the end of April. I was told by the assessor that SFE usually take 2-3 weeks to approve the funding. But, it's been nearly 8 weeks now and I haven't heard back from them? I've sent an email but had no reply. Is it worth ringing DSA? Has anyone else had this happened to them as I'm just concerned about it and not sure what to do.

Hi,

I would definitely recommend giving DSA a ring. Although it can take up to 14 weeks for an application to be process, according to UCAS and SFE. However, I wouldn't of imagined they would have a significant amount of applications at the moment.

I've linked a few useful websites about DSA below.
Disabled Students' Allowance - learn about eligibility (ucas.com)
Help if you're a student with a learning difficulty, health problem or disability: Disabled Students' Allowance - GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)

Good luck with the application,

My DSA assessment report was submitted on the 21st June and I received the SFE decision today after 11 working days, so it does seem that something has gone wrong with your application.

I would contact both your needs assessor and DSA to chase this if I were you. Good luck.
