Unis and predicted grades

Hi,
So I have achieved an A*AB as my predicted grades and want to apply for UCL for law which is A*AA. obviously I am a grade short but i am illegible for a contextual offer which would be AAB. Is this contextual offer made if my predictions are A*AA and then they offer me the contextual or is the contextual what I need to apply. Basically I’m asking if I have a chance of getting an offer.
Any help would be much appreciated!

UCL haven't actually published the requirements for their contextual offer yet for 2025 entry, but I'm assuming they will be something similar to last year's requirements (BBB with a 5 in English language and maths). If you are eligible for a contextual offer they will consider you as a contextual applicant and the offer you made will be based on contextual requirements. You can apply to UCL even with a grade below their standard requirements, but all you would need to do is meet their contextual requirements to be considered as a contextual applicant. However, UCL is incredibly competitive and London universities are heavily oversubscribed for law. According to the UCAS website 3/20 applicants receive an offer for the LLB course at both UCL and KCL, making them just as competitive as Cambridge and slightly less than Oxford (1/10 receive an offer). You'll need a strong LNAT score and a good personal statement alongside your grades, but as long as you meet the requirements, you won't be disadvantaged massively in the admissions process when it comes to grades.
