Can I get apply to TOP University's with an A*, A*, B predicted?

Hello, I am here to ask if I could still apply to a top university with these predicted. I did really bad in Computer Science and got a C grade, so my predicted should be a B.

I've looked online and top universities like Imperial Require an A,A,A for Computer Science. Please help

A*A*B is very unlikely to get you into Imperial because it is frighteningly competitive and many with the predicted grades will not get an offer either.
But there are plenty of excellent Unis you do stand a chance with those grades

Usually higher than AAA, I believe.

Imperial requires A*A*A A*AAA.

You do have to be very realistic about applying for CS at any Uni asking for A* grades - and a B grade in CS suggest that this really isnt a realistic ambition. This year thousands (yes, thousands) of applicants will have been rejected despite meeting or exceeding the entry requirements. With a B grade in CS, you wont even be considered by those sort of Unis.

More realistic choices look at AAA Unis like these where you would actually get an offer :
Undergraduate - Department Of Computer Science - University of Liverpool
Undergraduate study - Computer Science, University of York
Undergraduate | Computer Science | Loughborough University (lboro.ac.uk)
Computer Science MEng, BSc | University of Leeds
and somewhere like Sussex as a sensible Insurance choice :
Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence, undergraduate courses : University of Sussex

Like what universities?
I have the same predicted grades, Maths, FM, CS respectively.
Is it worth it?

For CS? Absolutely.
Look for courses that have a gap year in industry that will bump your CV up for future employment.
There are many at AAA (Nottingham with CS grade A, Exeter, loughborough, Maybe Birmingham, York, Lancaster) and then you have Surrey at AAB which is worth looking at.

Search for yourself...

Thanks for reassuring me that my grades are totallyfine, just like your username which is also totally fine. What isn't totallyfine however, is the fact that I want to apply for KCL, and I am short of an A (which my B may soon be converted to an A). If I can't get my B to an A, are my chances for KCL pretty much gone?

Thanks

Is it possible to convince your teachers to move that B predicted grade up? (If you’re willing to demonstrate that you are capable of getting an A via sitting tests/getting A grade in mocks).

You can certainly apply and see.
And I guess if it is your absolute 'must go' choice and you don't get an offer, you can work for the A and take a gap year.

All is totally fine!!

Yes definitely, I was going to ask for an assessment to confirm whether or not I'd be a pro at CS

On top of that my attainment has been solid, my teacher knows that I'm a strong coder (he said it in parent's evening so that's what I think), I have an almost a pretty perfect record wrt getting my homework assignments done on time done at the highest standard no matter how small the task was.

This makes me sound entitled and I hate it

My only limiting factor is that I'm scared to ask him or a higher up to move my grade up, idk why
I was meant to ask at the start of Y13 but I procrastinated it due to how they made it sound like they hated, and didn't want anyone to ask about getting grades moved up.
It feels really uncomfortable and wrong asking for it too, like I hate making excuses and things like that
This has caused me so much stress but I didn't want to admit it
This is really affecting my mental healthj too lol

I'll write an email though, worst they can say is no

confidence has also been low, I don't know how much weight KCL BSc CS course applicants are given for their GCSEs (i'm quite average @9887777764)

Kings CS is highly competitive, the change from a B to an A grade might be the thing that gets you an offer.

I mean if you don’t ask then it may be certain that your grade won’t go up.

But if you ask then there’s a chance that it could. It’s worth if you can get the grade moved up after explaining your circumstances especially if you’re willing to sit extra tests and getting As in them. Be willing to show that you’re capable of getting an A so that your teacher isn’t over predicting you in my opinion.

Yep, I asked and head of cs said they'd be pretty confident in my ability to get an A
Additionally I regret not asking earlier would;ve saved so much time
now I have to waste time until they have 'sufficient evidence' that I'm a pro
(I got full marks in the recent test because I'm the greatest of all Tims) (it was an almost not even 10 mark computer science quiz)

That’s nice then if your predicted grade went up.
