courses in programming/excell certificates

Hi, I’m currently a student going into yr12 and i’ve been wanting to develop my skills early and create my linkedin account; i know it’s a little early to do that but i want to expand my skillset and expand my corporate profile.

Where is the best place to take courses in things such as Python, Excel and SQL which offer certificates too

I wouldn't say there are the best places to get courses, but I know the most credible certificates for the IT industry:
Excel: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/credentials/certifications/microsoft-office-specialist-expert-2019/ (there might be an up to date version post 2019 from the time of writing, so always check the Microsoft website)
Python: https://pythoninstitute.org/certification-tracks
SQL: https://education.oracle.com/mysql-80-database-developer/pexam_1Z0-909 (this will be difficult)

Microsoft provides a list of accredited instructors who meet their requirements for the qualification.
Python material is taught through the institute.
Oracle provide their material, but I recommend finding a course that would provide further information and support.

From the look of things, shall I presume you are trying to get into data science roles after college/uni?

Then based on the way you have phrased your question, should I presume that you have read the job profiles for data science roles? e.g.
https://www.careerpilot.org.uk/job-sectors/data-network/job-profile/data-scientist
https://www.prospects.ac.uk/job-profiles/data-scientist#qualifications
https://nationalcareers.service.gov.uk/job-profiles/data-scientist
https://life-pilot.co.uk/job-sectors/data-network/job-profile/data-scientist

If so, you should have also picked up the following:

You should really also get a professional certificate in a data visualisation tool e.g. PowerBI, Tableau, Snowflake, etc. PowerBI is currently the most popular platform, and I prefer it because you only need to sit one exam at "associate's" level.

You don't need a degree to become a data scientist, and your degree isn't what they look at in your job application

The professional certificates above should carry you further than any degree in CS, data science, engineering, physics, etc. for data science roles
