Missing A Levels Due to Depression

Basically this morning I had a pretty severe mental breakdown and I have been experiencing a depressive episode since tuesday. I was meant to take my maths paper 3 exam today, and my chemistry paper 3 tomorrow, but the way things are looking, I definitely won't be able to take my exam tomorrow morning either. What should I do? Will I get a U?

I'd let your school/exam centre know that you won't make it in tomorrow asap, they'll probably have the best advice on what to do. I had to miss one of my exams for a different reason but they told me that the exam board could take my mark for that paper as an average of the other two I had done for the subject so they might be able to do the same for you? Hope you're ok xx

If possible, get a doctor to confirm your being too unwell.

One of my tuttees had to leave an exam after a few minutes as she was clearly unwell. Her parents took her to the doctor on the way home and she was found to be positive with Covid. They let school know immediately. School let the exam board know immediately. The exam board said they’d base her result solely on the first paper. The doctor’s note was crucial evidence.
