Resitting A levels

If I were hypothetically resit my A Levels in 2025. Would I be able to reapply to universities to start in Autumn 2025? Or do I have to apply with the grades I received in 2025 to start in 2026?

Hi @username6023291 🙂

If you would be resitting your A-Levels and receiving your results by mid-August 2025, you would be eligible to apply via UCAS for September 2025 entry. You could list in your personal statement that you are currently sitting re-sits of your A-Levels so the admissions teams are aware and take this into account when reviewing your application.

If you'd be receiving your re-sit results after August, you would need to apply for September 2026 entry via UCAS.

If for some reason you receive your results sometimes between mid August and October, you could call Universities to see if they have any spaces available through clearing on your chosen course(s) of interest.

I hope this is helpful! Let me know if I can help any further 🙂
