DSA

Entering my second year of uni soon and looking to get DSA since I want to buy another mobility aid and also I'm on a tighter budget next year so I can't really pay travel fees to go back home for hospital visits out of pocket this time.
I have a letter from from one of my hospital appointments about my condition, already had it approved by DSA last year but I still need to get a needs assessment done.
Just wanted to come here to ask about what that assessment would be like, I'm also wondering if I need to get a GP to fill out the official DSA form for me or if I can just bring that hospital report I mentioned.
Also wondering if anyone can tell me what I might expect from my DSA entitlement, I'm suffering from mobility issues in my limbs but the hospital report focuses on my legs.

definitely have a chat with your GP as it's important you get all the aids / support you need
been a few years for myself but i had my GP fill in the form alongside my medical evidence
try not to be too anxious op, dsa assessors are on your side 🙂
all the best for the remainder of your studies
