York St John’s literature

I plan to study here in September and was wondering if anyone else was doing literature? On top of that, does anyone know what the contact hours are like?)

Assuming you mean the BA English Literature course, their website says:
"You will typically study 3 modules each semester. Each module will normally have 3 hours of contact time each week, so you will have approximately 9 hours each week of teaching."

Hi,

This is the course page that has all the English literature courses that are offered at YSJ.
English Literature | York St John University (yorksj.ac.uk)

I didn't study English literature at undergraduate (I'm a masters student), but I did study professional policing at YSJ. I had roughly 12- 15 contact hours each week, which was broken up in to 3 lectures, 3 seminars and the odd workshop or tutorial depending on the year of study.

I would recommend that you attend a open day, so you can find out more about the course and have a look around the university.

The next open days are:

Tuesday 2 July 2024, 9.15am to 3.30pm

Saturday 17 August 2024, 9.15am to 3.30pm

This is a link to book on to a open day:

Hope this helps!

Hello!!! I am also going to study literature there in September! I am very happy to have found others in the same boat as me. I'm very excited (but nervous)!
