The Student Room Group

Lost my apprenticeship and starting afresh.

I was in the middle of my apprenticeship degree (paid for by the company through a government grant, I believe; 3 years) through QA, Roehampton , working for a company and studying part time. I finished my first year but half way through my second year, the company made me redundant so I have lost my apprenticeship. As of yet, I have not been given any certification from them and was told to wait till September (at the very best, I believe I would be getting an HNC?) .

I have just been accepted to study a similar subject (Computing) at the University of Leicester as a Year 1 student (basically starting afresh and full time).

Can anyone please advise me on my eligibility for student finance please?
Thanks in advance

It will be a full time course, Jason.

Hi there,

As you are going from part time study to full time study and did not complete the course you were on then you can apply for full funding.

Thanks, Drew
