Men's facewash and aftershave recommendations

Hi,

I've used Nivea for Men as my primary facewash for ages without too much attention but recently, after experiencing irritation after my shave, I'm exploring 'cleaner' alternatives for my facewash and aftershave balm.

Not fussed on smell but doing the job to lessen irritation on skin and freshen it up. I normally spend £3.50 for my facewash but happy to bit more for quality.

Some have recommended Aloe Vera products so any feedback on that would be appreciated and I gave my wife's Simple facewash a try which felt good.

Facewash and aftershave recommendations would be much appreciated

Thanks!

simple is nice as it's not as heavily perfumed so in general, less likely to cause irritation
i've recently gone off regular nivea as well as i felt like the formula changed and didn't do as good a job
there's nivea sensitive pro which i have just bought but not tried yet so will keep you updated
in terms of facial moisturiser i use aloe pura from bodycare

I've gone for Dr Organic Aloe Vera face wash from Holland and Barrett which has a slight distinguished smell but not that bad imo. Early days (specifically two, lol) but decent so far.
