English lang q5

For the last q of English language paper 2, since the audience was a 'school or college', was some humour and colloquial language alright to use? I integrated casual slang (relatable to a college student) in some sections in inverted commas as the 'audience' and 'tone' are marked by the examiner. I thought this would make my writing better for the audience, but is this just cheesy and unsophisticated? I definitely did not overdo it, just sprinkled it in for originality and 'tone.' Please let me know if this would get me marked down???!!! Sooo worried
