Clearing 2024

I am concerned about not achieving the necessary grades for acceptance into my firm and insurance university choices. Consequently, I might need to apply through clearing. However, I will be abroad (outside Europe) on results day, and I am unsure how to proceed. What steps should I take?

Which universities are you considering for clearing?

Will you have access to a phone for international calls and a laptop with access to the internet?

Have you arranged with your exam centre to get your results when you are outside the country?

If I need to go through clearing, the universities I am considering are Swansea University, University of Lincoln, and Keele University for a Pharmacy Foundation Year.
I will consult my family about access to international calls and other electronic requirements since they are more knowledgeable about the logistics of our destination abroad.
I completed a BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma in Applied Science, and the results process can differ from A-Level students. Last year, I received my first-year results via email, so I am uncertain whether this year's results will be sent the same way or if they will need to be collected in person.

You need to ask your exam centre about how you can collect your results. Ask soon before staff go off for the summer.
If you’re applying for pharmacy courses then you need to think about how you can attend any required interviews

If there’s likely to be issues then you need to consider whether your holiday is more important than increasing the chance that you’ll have to take a gap year.
