Going to a school that’s “beneath me”

I’m in Y12, predicted A*AA (hoping for at least A*A*A tho) and planning to study Pharmacy at Uni. I went to an open day to Brighton and loved the town and then case-based teaching style. However, Brighton is middling in the rankings and only has BBB for entry requirements; I could easily get into a higher ranked university. My parents say that I should go to a higher ranked school, however I kinda want to go to Brighton. What should I do?

You go wherever you feel most comfortable. It is you that need to spend years living and studying there not your parents.

The wording of your post suggests someone really full of themselves. A university being beneath me shows you in a very poor light.

“Beneath me” is my parents’ words, not mine. Should probably have made that clearer in my post

ALL MPharm Pharmacy degrees are accredited by the GMPhC and this means that there is no 'better' degree - they are all of exactly the same professional standard. The NHS will not be the slightest bit interested in where you did your degree - and neither will your future patients. All they will care about is that you are a professional, qualified, Pharmacist.

Its you going to Uni, not your parents.
Brighton is a fabulous place to be a student - enjoy.

Go to the uni you want to. Some of my 4 x A* students go to Brookes to do Engineering because it's an excellent course.

Go to Brighton and enjoy your studies there. Its a wonderful city.
It will make year 13 sooo less stressful to have some room for things to go wrong and still meet the requirements
