Height issues for a teen

Hi I am 15 and 5 8. I know many of you will think 5 8 is good height but I kinda simply just want to be taller. My dad is 6 2 and my mum is 5 4 . As the days go on I accept more that it’s probably over and I’ll be this height for the rest of my life. But what can I try do Atleast to make a change. This does not help but I’m obese so Im not trying to eat on a calorie surplus. I’ve been excersising more recently. I also normally only get 7hrs of sleep. I’ve decided today I’ll try to make a change to that even though I’m probably too late. Thanks if you’ve listened this far any help is appreciated( you probably won’t need this but I weigh 84kg which is let’s just say very bad for my age but I’m working on it)

hi there
there may be more scope for growth but it's unlikely
i'm 5ft1, mother is 4ft11 and father was 5ft6
there's nothing you can do about your height
but you can work on being healthier, kudos to you for already making a great start! if you are healthier you will feel much more confident
you're probably delving too much into social media showing all these 'perfect' bodies though - that represents maybe 0.1% of the population
sleep wise you should aim for at least 8hrs uninterrupted
hope that helps somewhat

Thanks for your help. Everyone around me keeps on telling me I’m still young but I know that the chance is unlikely now. I’ll work my hardest focusing on being healthier instead of purely growing taller. Room for growth comes from being healthy im guessing. If you don’t mind me asking are you male or female.

Hey, as reply one states you may grow but maybe half an inch or inch but probably unlikely.
I am 6’0 my mum is 5’5 and my dad is 5’7. I lost drastic weight for my body to have space to grow, the nurse told me, I’m somewhere between 56 to 60kg.
I think it's pretty likely you'll grow more at age 15. I think I grew the most from like 15-17. Even if not it doesn't really matter though.

You can still grow at 20 or 21 even 22 but just unless your one of those in the minority that could grow till 25 like myself.

I thought 15-17 was the peak age for height growth in boys?

Hi, does that mean that weight loss does not actually stunt my growth. I was scared of eating in a calorie deficit Becasue people online said cutting calories is bad for a teenagers body. If you wouldn’t mind could you private message me with tips about weight loss and how I can make a change .

Well my body needed space to grow because I had a growth spurt I grew about 2 inches than what I was before. This was when I was 21 so 2 years ago back. I’m 1.82 meters.

But it doesn’t always mean that weight loss then therefore results in growth mine was just considered unhealthy loss of weight, but that was due to the need of my body to grow and have that space.

You're overthinking. You will likely grow more, but height does not matter in the grand scheme of things. Chin up bud.
