Does John Locke Global Essay Competition appreciate creativite format of writing?

I am asking this question assuming many people here have experiences with the John Locke Global Essay Competition and have submitted essays before.

The title says it all: would they appreciate it if we used creative introductions that are not in the typical format of "Definition-Roadmap-Thesis" or would they give deductions for it?

I am only 1 week away from submission for the 2024 Essay Competition and am confused about whether I should write essays in a creative format.
