Sorry you've not had any responses about this. :frown: Are you sure you've posted in the right place? Here's a link to our subject forum which should help get you more responses if you post there.
Hello, I'm year 12 and I got A* on my sociology mock  Here's what I do to revise:

Recalling information: After every lesson I make flashcards on Anki on what I have just learnt in the lesson. I go through these flashcards every day (Anki sorts out how many you review in a day). If you don't want to make your own flashcards then quizlet is great for getting shared flashcards, and some of them are really detailed :eek4:

Exam technique: I cannot recommend THESOCIOLOGYTEACHER on Youtube enough. Her videos are what got me to a B/A grade to an A*. Her videos are on exam technique for AQA sociology. What I do is I memorise the essay structures in her videos and then I practice exam questions in timed conditions. She has videos on every kind of question for AQA which is great

Revision for topic tests: We don't usually get topic tests in our sociology class (because the topics are massive and there's all these teeny weeny subtopics in the topic and ahh it's so much to remember) so for the topic tests I go through every past exam paper for the topic and I do essay plans for them. This makes sure I can expect what kind of questions would come up. I use quizlet for some of my essay plans because people on there already have essay plans on flashcards on there, so I use these as a base to rewrite the plan in my own words in my notebook

TLDR: watch THETEACHERSOCIOLOGY on Youtube :giggle:

If you have any questions then let me know I'll be happy to answer :flute:

Ah I do family and households, which I think is a more well known topic :afraid: I did a quick search on Quizlet for you and there's quite a few flashcard decks on culture and identity so you could use information from there to add to your notes  There should be textbooks out there from AQA that cover culture and identity as well. I'm pretty sure the answer structures are the same and it's just the content that is different. Have you heard of Seneca? It's free and I like to use it to add to my notes and also quickly revise any subtopics I'm struggling on. The sociology course has culture and identity I'm pretty sure. I hope this helps you

It's not really about how much you're revising but rather the quality of your revision. I revise 40% content (like flashcards) and 60% exam practice (planning + writing answers). I try to do 4 hours of revision a day for all (so 4 hours a day for 3 subjects) of my subjects although I don't stick to this all of the time. Hope this makes sense
