University Selection Help

Hi, I have four to five options for my bachelor's degree: Northumbria University, University of Central Lancashire, Teesside University, and IITM (Indian Institute of Technology Madras) from India (which is highly reputed in India). I'm so confused and can't decide what I should do or which option I should choose. It would be great if I could get some suggestions here
IITM outshines each of the UK options, and could open a pathway to a good postgrad/job in Europe or the US as well as in India.

You have Pandit Nehru to thank - he planned ahead and built the tech colleges which have driven India forwards.

Hi there!

That's great to hear that you are considering Teesside University for your bachelor's degree. 😀 What course are you thinking of studying?

You can find out more about our undergraduate degrees here. Head to the course pages you're interested in, and you can find information on the course, the modules, how you learn, how you are assessed, entry requirements, career opportunities and more, which may help you to make your decision.

If you're still considering studying with us, you could come and visit us at our next open day on Saturday 7 September. Find out more about the courses you're interested in by chatting to tutors and students, and taking a look around our facilities and campus. You can book your place here.

If you'd like to know a little more about the area too, check out this blog post all about studying in Middlesbrough, where Teesside University is based.

I hope that helps, and best of luck for your studies!

Hi @radraa

Choosing the right university can be a difficult decision, but there are many ways to make it easier!

I highly suggest looking at your chosen course on each universities website. The key point to compare is the modules you will be studying. You can see which university has modules you are most interested in studying. Additionally, if a placement year is important to you then search for this on the webpage.

Another way to decide is visiting campus. Open days are an excellent way to experience what university life will be like and familiarise yourself with the area. I see you are considering UCLan, so I recommend attending our next undergraduate open day on the 18th of August! 😊

There are many additional ways to compare universities, such as distance, surrounding area, accommodation costs, teaching quality and more.

Is there any particular factors that are important to you at a university? I would be happy to share with you information of my experience at UCLan based on these factors. 🙂
