A level coursework moderation

After submitting my class’ coursework to the exam board we spoke about how harsh we think our teachers were with their marking. It was too late by then to ask for a remark but we really should’ve because even throughout the past two years they were very very unfair markers to the point where it felt like they just wrote numbers down on our essays.

My main question is that when examiners mark our work will they be biassed after seeing the mark our teachers gave it? If they do realise that the teachers weren’t fair with the marking will they contact the school prior to results day to speak to them about how they went about with the marking or will we just realise that they adjusted the marks on results day?

I’m worried because it’s been over a month since we sent off the coursework (my cohort is small) and there’s been no update or anything regarding the moderators speaking to our teachers. Does this mean everything’s already been marked and stored aside? When’s the deadline for examiners marking a level coursework? For how much longer can I be hopeful that they’ll reach out to the teachers?

are you in year 12?? it seems insane to me that you've already submitted coursework, our first draft isn't due for another week

Work for moderation is very carefully scrutinised and if there is a difference grades between the teacher and the moderator, the whole cohort will be altered in accordance.

Your teachers won't be contacted before results day and they will get a report back in late September. They could be asked to send more work if everyone's wasn't submitted [but in a small cohort the lot goes off] but you wouldn't know that.
