The Student Room Group

Continual student finance loan rejection

I need some professional guidance or support? I have been rejected for the second year in a row for my student finance study and maintenance loan. They state that I am not an ''ordinary resident'', yet I have lived in the UK since 10 years and am born outside the UK, but am a UK passport holder, although I have always been studying! I have had part time work and paid national insurance and provided extensive evidence last year for every year of stay, travel before during and after COVID and all term breaks. I do not have funds to complete my degree or pay for rent. Please advise what is the best method to get some support as the appeal process will highly likely end up the same way and I will not be able afford accommodation or finish my degree.

Hi there,

The live chat option will only show when an adviser is available. If this doesn't show you will have to call us.

Thanks,
Claire
