How do I deal with time-limit anxiety

I want to do maths at university, but it seems whenever I’m doing maths I find hard with a strict time limit my mind just freezes up. It’s like a blind panic and I can’t think straight, my problem solving skills go down the pan.

I’m fine when doing A level maths, it is things like the maths challenge and practising for entrance exams that this happens. I’m also worried it will affect me in further maths next year.

With unlimited time I can get very high scores so in theory I am capable of doing well but I don’t know how to put this into action.

Thanks 🙏

I would say this is perfectly normal, I did A*A* in Math and Further Math but awfully failed my ESAT practice test and the Senior Math Challenge. I think practicing more is the key, you have to get familiar to the type of questions being asked and try not to stress out too much
