Hey Guys;
Couple of questions. Firstly, I have put together a CV on Trac Jobs as the NHS exclusively uses that now (to the best of my knowledge) and effectively, for one job, it says the following;
Associate Practitioner June 2021 - March 2022
Associate Practitioner July 2022 - August 2023
These are EXACTLY THE SAME job and hospital and my logic behind this was, for the reference, I put down my shift manager and the reference was from June 2021-August 2023. The reason why I was unemployed was when Boris Johnson closed the COVID labs but one opened up again, just small scale of around 40 people total (it is now since closed again) but, prior to it closing, I left to do my MSc.
Should I change this to two separate references for the same person or leave it as it is?
Secondly, my shift manager has stated he will happily write me a reference but his NHS email will only be valid until the end of this month and when I contact the lab's general manager, I get an email saying to contact another manager who I spent a fair bit of time with personally but is TERRIBLE at responding to me via email (I sent 8 emails over a course of about 9 months and got a response to only two).
Would it be rude if I was to send an additional email in say two weeks stating this and asking the lab's general manager again for a future reference? This is purely on the basis that I don’t trust her to even notify me of a simple yes or no to the email I sent her requesting a reference, let alone respond to a reference request!
