How do I make friends going into my 20s?

So I am 19... I turn 20 soon this year and there is not a single person that I can actually call my friend. During school and college I struggled to make friends and I don't plan on going uni either. Even if there was just one person that I could actually call my friend and hang out with I would be happy. However, at the moment since that isn't the case, life feels very boring and dull every single day.

Hi, since you aren’t considering uni then perhaps try to join some kind of sports club? Just have a look at what there is around you. I’m actually the same as you, I didn’t have any friends either but I started doing kickboxing and I met so many great new people. Alternatively if you aren’t into sport is there anything else that interests you? For example book clubs etc would be a good way to meet people with common interests

I'm going to start attending a sports club this week. Hopefully it goes well so wish me luck. Thanks very much for the advice.

I'm not sure which gender you identify as, but if you're a man there's Andy Man's Club, which is a great place for men to talk if need be. I've found it immensely helpful and it has given me tools that have changed my life. Might not be what you're looking for, but it's a suggestion that can possibly lead to new friendships.

I'm actually a girl lol, made a couple of acquaintances in the last few days (just felt a bit lonely when I posted that) but thanks - that sounds like a great thing as I think there are more spaces like that for women generally.
