What to do pre y13 Summer?

Coming to the end of y12 now. I had a bumpy start but now it’s all fine. What to do in summer as a med applicant? In terms of getting ready for y13 and applying.

Any resource recommends appreciated aswell!

Best thing is probably to work on personal statement and get some experience you can reflect on in it (if you haven't already) as year 13 is stressful and absolutely flies by - you won't believe me when I say it flies but you'll experience it yourself!

Hi,

I would recommend that you start looking at what med schools that your intreated in going to, and maybe attending a few of the open days during the summer, since year 13 is going to fly by super fast. It will also help if you have started this process in summer, so you don't feel the stress in September and you can concentrate on your A levels, as you will have already done your personal statement and have a good idea on what uni's you are going to be apply to.

This is the subject guide for medicine on the UCAS website, which may help when writing your personal statement and applying in general. Medicine | UCAS

Hope this helps!
