do you regret not going to uni ?

i have been thinking about uni lately but also looking at possible apprenticeships to do instead. however i don’t want to miss out on the opportunity and what a lot of people call the best years of their lives. Did anyone find u i that great or regret not going ?

not me personally but my brother, he’s 19 now and was meant to go to uni last year but he decided not to bc he wanted to do an apprenticeship. Ive really seen him struggle especially with socialisation since all of his friends are at uni now, so it’s def hard. He told me that he def wish he went to uni. I think it rly depends what u want to do, but I would say if u think a degree is worth while - then go to uni. but if u don’t, then ur also going to be in charge of ur own future and im sure you’ll enjoy whatever u do

Going to uni doesn’t necessarily guarantee you the “uni experience” you’re envisioning. It depends on the effort you put in. You can have that experience as a degree apprentice. I did.

Just wonder what is this "great uni life experience" we are talking about? Going out to clubs/drinking/partying or something else?

It’s relative, each to their own.
Mine was learning and teaching the salsa society, then going to dancing socials in the city every weekend with a big group of student friends.

There’s a ton of life long skills, hobbies, and friends you can make if you put the effort into trying new things. Plenty of people do just stay in their room or drink themselves into a mild coma every weekend.
