Full and Part time distance learning
Hi I am hoping someone might be able to help me. As far as I can now tell online studying is classed as part time studying, and in saying that I am trying to find out how this would effect me if I start studying this august online when I’ve moved to universal credit. I am currently on legacy benefits of income support and carers allowance. I think I would only be able to apply for the part time loan. Has anyone else studied online and part time, and are there any courses online that are classed as full time? Would I be able to claim as I can’t attend a university in person? Thank you for any help.

Thank you for confirming.
You'd be eligible for Tuition Fees regardless Emma. For Maintenance Loan you and your GP would be required to complete a Medical Declaration form to confirm Distance Learning is the only option for you.
Once you make your application this will be emailed to you during the processing stage and would have to be returned to us so we can process it as well.
