Childcare grant back dating through childcare provider

I have questions . I was granted childcare grant for those year and didn’t not claim it. Now I have asked my child care provider to back date for me since I wasn’t able to do so via student finance.
If I was entitled to childcare and was allocated amount do I have the right to still claim it through my child care

Hi there,

You have 9 months from the start of the academic year to apply for the childcare. If it's passed the deadline we won't pay this.

Thanks,
Claire

I have applied at the time and was granted childcare. its not that am going to apply now. the mount allocated was still there which needed a invoice to be made. so it the grant was allocated can it be retrospectively be invoiced.

If your course year for 21/22 has ended, you won't be able to claim this now as its too late.

That is not fair. I can understand if it was never allocated that I can’t apply now. but while the funding was allocated and yet not claimed. I have paid out of my own pucket to cover the cost. surely there should be a guideline for this to retrospectively put in the invoices.

Is there a guideline where this is stated please.

Thankss,

Hi modeeq,

Yes we do have internal guidance where this is stated. Not all guidance is publicly available.
