job advice for a 15/16 year old??

hi all,
i can't seem to get a job. ive created a (definitely atleast a decent) CV. although i dont have any experience other than work experience that i did in school, ive only applied for jobs that dont require any so surely that shouldn't be an issue?.
All of my friends have jobs, some of them have even had them since they were 13. it's making me feel really disheartened because i was so excited to step into this new chapter of my life. i can't even get to the interview stage. I of course knew that this wouldn't be an easy thing to do, but i feel like my circumstance isn't going to change in terms of my luck in getting employed.

if anyone has any advice on how to write my CV, how to grasp an employers attention i would really really appreciate it!! thankyou so much <3
Also if anyone is under 15 and has a job that isn't an independent retailer, i would really appreciate hearing about it xx

Hi ISA 🙂

Have you tried applying to boots the chemist.
They employ young people from the age of 15 so you could perhaps try them. You'll need to do a online profile with boots Via there own job recruitment website page - easy to do okay. Then search local area where you are for jobs and apply - if you are successful with your application then you'll be asked to do a simple online assessment ( read the question over before ticking your answers) they are based on real life scenarios ok, then if you are successful again you'll be invited to a in-store interview.

Nobody else ( no other retailers will take you on until minimum of 16 ).
You could try local independent shops for people or paper round.

I worked many years ago with boots ( I was about 15.5 ) and and worked with them for a year before switching to working in Tesco when I was just over 16 and been with them ever since ( currently part-time) due to my main full-time employment as a midwife.

Quite a few places dont take people on until they are 16 (and have finished school).
However cafes and restaurants are deffo worth a try.

i wish you the best of luck! if i was 16 i would really just apply to any jobs that require no experience as you have your age on your side. eg supermarkets, chain stores etc (these i can't apply to)
