heyya,im in yr 12 and im planning on applying for law at uni. im currently doing BTEC applied science extended diploma, and I'm thinking of adding an alevel to that as some universities require an alevel alongside the extended diploma. I'm predicted D*DD for my btec and I'm not sure which alevel to choose alongside for law HELP

any essay based subject like a level law history sociology any english that’s what they’d most like to see as it’s similar to what you’ll be doing at uni

Hi,

As has already been said, an essay subject may be helpful as law degrees do require many of the same analytical and literacy skills that are developed in this kind of A level. However, many unis do not require specific A level subjects in order to study law. Of course, you should check the unis you want to study at first, as this does change between institutions but, if there is no specified or advised requirement, I would choose a topic you enjoy. Doing well in the topic will be regarded as more important than the A level subject when it comes to the majority of institutions.

I hope this helps!
