Kingston Accommodation - Question.

Hey! I have booked a room in Chancellor's Hall at Kingston and everything is confirmed (very excited). I was reading the license agreement and noticed that fairy lights/christmas lights are prohibited. I was wondering if battery powered ones are and if they are, then are mood lights prohibited (battery powered). I kind of rely on my mood lights as a sensory aid. I just wondered if anybody knew if these were allowed of if battery powered fairy lights were?

Hi @elliefitz

Congratulations on your booking, it's great to hear you are coming to Kingston!

From my understanding it is battery powered that are not allowed. However if you contact the accommodation team (there email is [email protected]) then they may be able to provide some more information about mood lighting, there may be different rules around mood lighting or it may be that you need to get the lights safety tested.

Alternatively, plug in lamps are accepted so you may be able to find a lamp that works in a similar way.

I hope this helps and see you in September
