Emergency leave / quit for current job, would this impact getting a reference letter?

I'm currently working 10 months under my 12-month fixed term full-time working contract as an international student. However, I have to go back to my home country for a month due to emergency.
I was noticing my current employer 1 week in advance as it's an emergency. Currently, the entire of my work could be done online, so I requested if I may do it in my home country online for the next month, but my current employer rejected this request. But since I have to go back to my home country for the next month, I might just propose to quit this job without following the company rules( which is 4 weeks notice in advance if I want to quit).
Would this influence my request for a reference check when I found my next job?
add information: this is my first job after my bachelor finished last year, and I'm going back for a masters this September, preparing for apply graduate scheme.

Thank you!
If you leave them 3 weeks earlier than your notice period requires then yes, it could affect either them responding to reference requests, or how enthusistatic they are about you if they do write something. Employers and admissions staff are good at ready between the lines, so a brief, factual reference may infer that you were not particularly strong.

Have you spoken to your employer about your specific circumstances?

Yes, I've spoken to them and they are happy to give me un-paid leave for my family emergency, and they cannot accept the remote working in another country. But as my contract would end at beginning of August, I do not want to pay extra 1000 pounds to travel back from my home country to UK once I've backed. Which means I should quit my job, but that means I have notified them too late for the quitting. Do you have any suggestions to limit the negative impact of this situation? Thank you.

I'm not sure I've followed this. You want to leave ASAP but want to be paid for your notice period and your employer won't agree to let you work remotely?

If that's the case I would just take the hit on the unpaid leave and be on good terms with them.
