DSA - Other disabilities + Dyslexia

Mature student (28) finally getting the change to do higher education!

I thought I had a diagnosis for Dyslexia, but it turns out they don't do an actual diagnostic assessment in schools only a needs assessment if they think you are Dyslexic!

Anyway I'm now scrabbling about trying to find out how and where to have a full Diagnostic assessment (that's accepted by DSA) and if there's any funding available as I am poor, but I know I will need the help in university so not having it isn't an option :s-smilie:

Hi OpheliaJade,

It would usually be the diagnostic report that would be required. You can email our DSA team to advise that you are trying to obtain that evidence and they may be able to advise of alternative evidence that you could provide.

Thanks, Clare
