History edexcel gcse mocks

Hi everyone, I am currently doing my YR 10 academy exams and I am finding it difficult to revise for history (topics are: COLD WAR, MIGRATION AND ELIZABETHAN ERA)- my mock will be on the cold war and Elizabethan era, and science also. Are there any videos and/or websites or even books that you use to help you revise for these?? Thanks! <33

Hi, I am also doing history gcse, but for aqa. Even though its a different exam board, I'm sure this will help anyway. For revision resources I recommend using bbc bitesize as it has loads of helpful information although I'm not sure it has all the topics for your specification so just check that. Also, there are some YouTube channels that I find quite helpful: A long long time ago..., The History Teacher and Primose Kitten Academy.

Physics and Maths tutor also have gcse history past papers and mark schemes that will be really really helpful for your revision. I also recommend buying the CGP textbooks as they really summarise the information you need to know, and also give you exam technique.

I hope this was helpful lol 🙂

I would also recommend a long long time ago for history revision as she has videos on learning the content and on how to answer the questions. History needs you to remember a lot of content so try to figure out how you remember things best. For me it was making endless notes but if you tend to learn by listening there are free history revision (and science) podcasts on Spotify. Also buying or making history flash cards can help some people as well as creating poems or acronyms to remember key dates or facts.
For science I would recommend cognito, their website has YouTube videos on virtually every science subject as well as easy quizzes. For re remembering science experiments Malmesbury school science YouTube has a video on every experiment you need to know. Good luck!
