Do the A levels you choose matter?

If you’re not going into a specialist career or doing a degree that requires specific A levels do the A levels you take matter? For me I want to take sociology, psychology and R/S and I would like to do a degree in business management. I feel as if I need to do business studies instead of RS to be able to do business management degree but I don’t enjoy it. Also I’m worried that doing R/S and sociology will make me look unappealing to an employer. Any responses would be much appreciated 🤗.

Be honest with urself, don't do something U won't enjoy. Cos that will negatively effect Ur motivation in the future

If there are no any required subjects for your degree, then choose subjects you enjoy and will get high grades in. A levels subjects are irrelevant to most employers. They look for transferable skills from a degree course and work experience.

Have you checked the 'entry requirements' for this subject on a range of different Uni websites - including any GCSE requirements?

Depends on what career you want to do. If its something related to the STEM e.g. medicine, maths then probably yes. However assuming you don't do any of those, most Universities (if you're going to one) focus more on the UCAS points you have achieved to get into a certain course

No they don't. Firstly there is no universal formula for assessing application across all Universities for all courses, the majority of courses will have 'required subjects' at A level etc - and not all Unis use UCAS points.
