what are other peoples views and experience on staying at their current school of A-levels.

just to also provide further context to my question so you can relate your advice to my personal situation.

I do not have many friends at my Current school but if I joined a new school I could potentially make new friends but I like my current school the head of sixth form and my tutor that I would have is my old extra English teacher and he knows me very well but the school is a far distance and it isn't pleasant on the public bus. my school also said special consideration will be made for me because my grades are really good in some areas and not so good in others with my predicted grades being,
science -9,8
comp sci -8
engineering -L2D
lang - 4
lit - 5
Geography -6
history -3
maths - 6

I need a grade 5 in English but that is unlikely to happen but the said they would let me in regardless because of my effort levels attending after school tutoring and extra lessons to build upon my grades.

any help would be appreciated, many thanks xx

I'm staying on at my school as I like the teachers and don't want to have to learn a whole new school layout. It also helps that they offer the choices I want and is only a ~ 20 minute walk away.

Don't worry about not having/being able to make friends. I recently went to an experience day and the proportion of internal students was surprisingly low for what they usually report; you will definitely have people to socialise with that are new (and also people that you've not really talked to much in secondary school).

If the commute is inconvenient for you, it might be a good idea to look for sixth forms nearer to your house (although if you're taking buses, you could use this time to revise flashcards or something like that).

If you haven't already, you probably should talk to your teachers and/or parents as they might be able to give you some other advice. Good luck with whatever you choose - ultimately you don't need to worry

Personally id say it doesnt really matter how many friends you have in your sixth form - these next 2 years basically dictate your life so your goal should be to work hard and acheive your dream results regardless of having many freinds or not. So if you like your teachers and your head of sixth form at your current school i would personally say continue there. A new sixth form could be very interesting though, and again like you already stated - you can make new friends.
