Don't worry about any books etc - you'll be able to access everything you need through the university library in hard copy and eBook/journal form.
For placement, you'll need:

Smart, comfortable, durable, black shoes

a fob watch (don't worry about rest of uniform - university will supply this)

Pens, especially black biros.

Hi!

I personally use a mix of notebooks and typing on the laptop, if this is something you would like to do as well then i recommend a few different notebooks or a notebook with sections to it, highlighters and pens. Little notebooks that fit into your uniform pocket come in handy on placement to write down anything you do not understand to research post-shift. You will require a lot of black pens while working in the hospital.

Some comfy black, closed toe, wipeable shoes for placement. I recommend the black sketchers work shoes. The university will supply your uniform so you do not need to worry about that. A fob watch, a name badge, medical scissors, a pen torch and a badge reel for placement always come in handy. I work with children so I personally carry around stickers as well! And i always have a hand sanitiser and hand cream on me, your hands get very dry with how much you wash them!

A good water bottle is necessary for placement in order to make sure you are drinking enough.

The university will tell you any textbooks they recommend you buying. I personally recommend an anatomy and physiology colouring book.

Best of luck!
