If you get an extension, do you forfeit your right to a second attempt?

I'm in my final year of undergraduate studies. My degree has coursework. One of the modules from this semester was a fail. I got the full extension already, with approved evidence and everything. Does an extension forfeit my right to a second attempt? I can't mind getting capped at a pass, I really just want to ensure I don't repeat the whole module.

Nearly never, no. Usually an extension still gives you all the rights of anyone who submitted on time. Do chat to your department’s office staff though to check the rules in case they are a strange anomaly.

It should say in your course handbook.
