I applied for student finance on 11th April & received a response on the 15th April with my entitlement. However it was basic because i was unable to prove my mothers divorce. I then had to upload the marital status form, which i did on the 19th April however this was rejected on the 1st May. I had to wait for a letter to try again, which the lady i spoke to forgot to send.

I ended up uploading the marital declaration form again on the 31st, i didn’t receive and email that it was received, it just says it has been on the website & i haven’t received any updates.

I know it’s been just 3 weeks but the issue is uni will not allow me to book my accommodation until i have confirmed higher rate of SFE. with me moving to London, i’m worried i won’t be able to go if I don’t get accommodation from uni.

Is there any way I can ask SFE to speed up the process?

Hi there. What was the evidence you uploaded for this? It's taking around 22 business days to process, so the estimated update would be around 03/07/24. Please note, our timescales are subject to change.

I uploaded the marital status declaration form, with two different household bills & a letter from the council confirming tenancy
